Start with a cup of hot coffee and snacks then join everyone for lunch after the clean up. Please dress for weather.

Fire District 20 Food Drive
(November 1 thru December)
With the closure of the Operational Emergency Center in Skyway in the summer of 2008, and recent economic struggles, King County Fire District 20 is doing its part by conducting a holiday food drive for families in need. The food drive has already started and will continue until December 21, 2008.
"This is a critical time for residents who are served by KCFD 20", says Dave Nelson, Public Information Officer. "The Operational Emergency Center in Skyway helped more than 192,000 people in Seattle and South King County last year. If those who can provide two or three items, we can work together to make sure no one goes hungry this holiday season," Nelson said.
Please drop off all non-perishable food (no glass containers) at one of two locations:

All food collected will be distributed to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Renton, which serves Skyway area residents. The following foods are most critical:
- peanut butter (18 oz. plastic jars only)
- canned sweet peas
- canned fruit cocktail
- canned peaches/pineapple
- canned lunch meat (SPAM)
- canned beef stew (24 oz.)
- pineapple juice (48 oz. can)
- tomato juice (48 oz. can)
- powdered milk packets
- canned corn
- canned evaporated milk
- tuna fish (6 oz.)
- vegetarian vegetable soup
- canned beef chili
- vegetable oil (24 oz.)
- fish sauce (24 oz.)
- snack pudding
- mac & cheese (7.25 oz.)
- canned green beans
