CAMPBELL HILL GARDEN NEEDS NEW TENDERS
At the monthly board meeting in October, Paul Berry announced that the ladies who care for Campbell Hill Gardens (corner of S 129th St & 64th Ave S) will no longer be able to do so. The gardens are located on the right-of-way, so it's up to us to save them.
If you are interested in helping out, or have an idea of what we can do with this community treasure, please contact whcc-web@westhillcommunity.com

What is the West Hill Community Council?
The West Hill Community Council (WHCC) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to preserve, protect, and improve the West Hill neighborhood in accord with the wishes of the Community. It is one of several Unincorporated Area Councils (UACs) in King County. It provides leadership in the investigation of community needs, obtains funding to fulfill those needs, communicates with governmental agencies to represent the interests of the community, and cooperates with other organizations and persons having like interests. (For more information, see King County's UAC web page section for WHCC, the WHCC Bylaws, and the King County Unincorporated Area Council Agreement for 2009.)
Standing committees: Public Safety, Skyway Outdoor Cinema

What is "West Hill?"
West Hill is a King County Unincorporated Area Council (UAC) area between Seattle and Renton and consists of the neighborhoods of Bryn Mawr, Campbell Hill, Earlington, Hill Top, Lakeridge, Panorama View, Skycrest, and Skyway. Here's a MAP of the area, produced by local resident Michele Savelle in 2010. See also a King County UAC map of our precinct, or go straight to the KC West Hill detailed map (pdf) (these two maps are from 1998 and do not reflect the Earlington Annexation to Renton in 2009).
